As pet owners who endlessly love their pets and who treat them like they're family, we… end up doing some funny things. We talk to our pets like they're babies. Because they are. To us. We pamper our pets. More than we pamper ourselves. We buy our pets expensive toys and food and anything they could want. Really, we spend a lot of money on them. It's slightly embarrassing. We've rescued our pets from themselves, and they've seen us be silly and ridiculous a million times.

We've experienced a lot with our pets. But by far, one of the funniest, silliest, most ridiculous things that we have seen pet owners do with their pets is what you're about to read today. Forgetting to feed your pet, forgetting to take them for a walk an additional time, forgetting to pet them for the 1001st time… happens. But forgetting your pet when you go to the vet… that's different.

You know, of all the mistakes that you could make at the vet's office, this… is probably the funniest one. Don't get us wrong, we have seen people do some silly things at the vet's (and by that, we mean that we, too, have done those things), but forgetting your whole pet, that's a new one.

And then reading the replies and realizing that this occurrence is hilariously common… You know, we don't own a dog in this house, so we don't know, but maybe it's simply more difficult to forget to take your cat to the vet… since there has to be a whole 15-minute ritual to get them into their crates.
